It can be fun coming up with the domain name for your online business. You want to take your time with it though because that is something that will become widely associated. You don’t want to regret your decision down the road.

Take the overall purpose of your business into consideration and that will help you get ideas flowing that are in the right direction. Rather than trying to get the perfect domain name immediately, give yourself some time to do some brainstorming. Start making a list of everything that comes to mind.

Don’t be critical of those ideas as you will have time to narrow them down later on. Think of some keywords that can really help in your domain name. Try to incorporate some of them into the ideas you wrote down. You want to narrow down long domain names too. Try to keep them short and to the point.

Once you have decided on your domain name, buy all the versions of it. The .com one is important. However, there are others you can consider too including .net, .org. Use something that is to the point, easy for consumer to spell, and that they won’t soon forget.
