It can be very difficult to known when to contact your target market. Too many businesses make it a habit to do so at set intervals, but they fail to offer valuable information. Make sure each time you do make contact, that you have something interesting to say to them.

If you are promoting items that you want to get them interested in for a certain holiday or time of year, then you need to get that initial contact done early. More people are planning in advance for holiday shopping and gift buying. If you contact them too late then they may have already spent money on something else but wished they had gotten what you have to offer.

If what you have isn’t time sensitive though then you should start to contact your target market right after they opt in. This way they don’t forget what they signed up for and mistake your correspondence for SPAM down the line. With a good set of autoresponders in place you should be able to contact them regularly to encourage them to make a purchase.

Encourage your Customers to help you Promote your Business

One of the key elements that consumers look at before they purchase products is the feedback from other people. They want to know how other customers are enjoying the products. This often holds more weight than just your advertising techniques.

You can encourage your customers to help you promote your business. In turn you will find that your sales continue to increase. Encourage them to submit their own testimonial about how they benefited from what you had to offer. They can also submit their own reviews of the products online.

You can ask your customers to provide you with the email addresses of others they think may be interested. It helps if you have some type of discount or other incentive to offer them in exchange. You can be sure these friends and family members of theirs will find the information more credible since it is coming from a referral source that they already trust.

Be Creative but Be Clear

In the world of online marketing, it really helps to be creative. Consumers get tired of the same old thing again and again. If you can give them something fresh or a new spin on things they will pay attention. However, you also need to make sure you are very clear.

Too many times creativity doesn’t allow for clarity. The reader may finish the material and be confused about what it is that you are offering. They may be getting information overload as well so make sure you limit the context of the information. Give them a few key points to focus on so that they can easily identify what is in it for them.

One of the easiest ways to make sure you can be creative and still be clear is to offer a quick summary at the end. This will be a refresher of what the reader has gone over in the body of your sales letter. It should also point them in the right direction for placing an order at that time.
